The Garage Quandary

When Ang went back to school, she gave me a list of several tasks to complete. First, she wanted a fence (hasn't happened yet), second, she wanted the kids to have a new toilet, vanity and sink in their bathroom (it is in progress), and third, she wanted our "two" car garage cleaned out.

For the last uhmm, 2 months, I have been putting off cleaning out the garage and using the excuse, "I am trying to get ideas on what to do with it and how to best organize it". This is my VERSION of the "truth" because: (a) I hate cleaning the garage, and (b) there is a lot of pressure on me because in this family, garages are a BIG deal. Jeff has turned his garage into a lavish office, that is nicer than any room in our house and my father has a casino and serves family meals, including Thanksgiving, in his garage!!

Well, alas, my project is complete and we won't be able to kick back and play on the computer or spend holidays in our garage, but we will (fingers crossed) be able to find what we are looking for and fit two cars into our garage!!

Wow, you really got after it! That is awesome. I never would have thought you could have rearranged all that. I'm sure that is a nice project to cross off your list. Angela is very powerful!

I am going to make a list of projects for Richard and see what happens. Ang, I may need backup.

Ang she needs backup...Nate you kicked ASS, good job man.

Oh by the way, my "Fatty Mass" seems to be getting smaller everyday. It's still there but without pain.

Wow, I'm impressed, Nate! Norm will be proud! We still can't fit both cars in our garage either, so you're one step above us!

Way to put your foot down, Ang. I have a long list of honey-dos for Trev too...but there never seems to be enough time....

That's fabulous Rick...I hope it continues to deteriorate (the growth that is).

Ang is very powerful and she loves to give subtle and not so subtle hints. The truth is...they are all projects I wanted to complete as well!! I will post the pictures of the bathroom as soon as they come and install the toilet. Maybe they won't show up and I can just have Jen help me when she gets her on Friday!!

By the way Sheryl and Rick...we still have not been given the dates when you guys are coming. If you don't want to miss Canada; you should show up next weekend!

Tiff...the only honey-do Trevor needs to be working on is that yard...and we need to see pictures.

Maybe if you post some pictures of it unfinished for everyone to see...Trevor would feel inclined to get his butt out there and work!!!

Good work on the garage, Nate. It only took me three and a half years to be able to clean out my garage to the point where I could fit a car in it.

Canada! Canada! Canada! Canada!

After you mentioned the passport earlier this week I spent half an hour searching for mine and growing ever more frantic until I finally found it right where it was supposed to be, in the first place that I looked (but obviously not well enough). Canada!

Nate, there are few people who can say the word Canada well and you are one of them.
CAN A DA,CAN A DA:)
Right now we have the following in our garage: a mess, my car, Colton's 4 wheeler and two smowmobiles.

Looks great! Hopefully your example will wear off on your littlest sister. She has a 3+ car garage and can barely get one car into it!! Ang- hope the second week of school was better than the first!
Nate- you mentioned you wanted to see more pics of the house, copy and paste the following web address and you can see lots of pictures!

Lex & Liv- we are sure missing you guys this summer! We have this new house we are living in with tons of new hiding places. Wish you guys were around so we could play a little flashlight hide and seek!

Well done Nathy!

Question: Will we really be able to fit two cars in our 1 1/2 car garage???? I guess it doesn't matter since we still only have one!

Mother consider your back up armed and ready. Rick, your on probation, as soon as the mass is gone NO MORE EXCUSES! (Thank god you are finally feeling better).

Marc cleans our garage often and it still looks a mess!! I think he could use a tip or two... or three.
Looks GREAT Nate!!

Nice job Nate. How many people do you know that can actually store the crap they don't use and fit the cars? BRAVO!! You should be the next host of HGTV's "How to Organize all your crap".

The garage looks great. You did exagerate a little on your Dad's Garage. (A Casino?) Try 1 empty slot machine. And just because I taught Liv to say (common baby Liv needs a new pare of shoes.....) At any rate it sounds like you are really settling in to owning a home and making a new life for you and the fam. There are things you have done that it tooks some of us years to complete. Congrats!

Way to go Nate!!!!! You rock! I will be calling you, I hope that it doesn't take you away from your chores. I want to know if Ang is supplying you with an allowance.....

Nate is becoming a neat freak. What an omymoron! What next to surprise the parentals? Dad could have given you some pointers but it looks like you didn't need much help just a lot of motivation. Bet you guys never thought an illiterate dad could get into this blog stuff. Just like teaching baby new tricks.
