YES, WE DID!

What an incredible night! A man who came from absolutely nothing, works his tail off and becomes the next President of the United States of America. An exciting time to be an American, one that will no doubt go down in history as a monumental moment of change. With a resounding voice America said we can and will do better. Hope won us over and fear did not keep us down!

What else is there to say? Angela has summed up our feelings in a paragraph. I know what it feels like when our guy or girl loses, so I will not try to convince anyone who has not already realized what this means. It was a historic night! We have a lot of work to do in this country, and no president will solve all of our problems, but hopefully they can inspire us to want and work for more and to never settle for something that we know can be so much better!!! Yes, we DID!

Halleluiah!! I was dancing all over the place last night. Obama had won far before our results even started coming in.. Amazing. Headlines all over the world are excited about this change. It is a food feeling to be American again.

I am a little worried to have obama as the next president and not for the reasons most people are saying. As a small busniess owner I am worried for the changes in the tax laws that he will put in place. I also think that as a health care worker that if his healthcare plan goes into place I will not make as much money as I do now. Any thoughts? I would love to hear some reasurring words.

I am sure I am wasting my words on deaf ears but.... I don't think any small business owner should be scared, most are not making enough to see any changes. If you don't believe me look at the statistics.

Health care has to be reformed. I hear it every day in my lectures here in school. This is coming from doctors who make a ton of money and see what a shamble our system is in, they see everyday the failures of our current system. The only people that will see a change in their paychecks are those making outrageous salaries, (Radiologists making $600,000/year - give me a break I don't feel bad for that guy). Healthcare can not and will not be reformed over night. It is going to take a good 5 years for us to see a change once a plan has been decided on and then begun to be implemented.

Those of us struggling to get by have a better life to look forward to under leadership of someone who gives a damn about the majority of us who live paycheck to paycheck.

Amen and Hallelujah is right!!!

Thanks for your input. It is not wasted on deaf ears. I cant say that I was for Mcain either. I definatly see that we need some change around here and I hope that he will do a fantastic job! I knew that you would have some good insight as far as the medical world goes so thanks for taking the time to respond.

I hope that you are right about everything Ang, thanks for giving me a different perspective. You are right, alot of us do live in a 'bubble' here in Utah and I for one, would like to get out of it. If Obama does make all the changes he is trying to make (I know it won't be overnight) then I too will be a fan!!

Way to go Obama! Not only did this guy come out of no where, but he is the FIRST black president! I think that he will be really great and I look forward to him being able to show the "non-believers" what he can and will do for our country!

I did forget to mention that I am worried for Mikey to lose his business (not because of his shady practice, but because Obama himself will take it from him!) and for the "meat head" as Denise so fondly named Brandon, as he will also "lose everything"!!!!! If those are two things that Obama can do for me, then God bless America!

The meat head! Hahahahaha. As a small business owner you will have to make quite a bit of money to be affected.
